“Had a wonderful visit with my doctor yesterday. My BP is down to normal. It was almost at 200 at one point. She’s thrilled at my weight loss as well as my overall health. She’s going to lower my BP medication from 20 mg to 10 mg and see how I’m doing in 30 days. If its still at this level she’ll take me off it completely! Thanks for all your help and assistance, its very much appreciated. You’ve directed me to the proper way to get back to a healthy life style. I feel great, sleep great and seem to have that ‘bounce’ in my ways I used to have! We even spoke about my sleep apnea session and was happy that I took it upon myself to eliminate my minor issues with sleeping. Also, she’s combining both pills into one, which she said should help even more, as long as I continue my current ways.Bye for now. Your favorite student.”

“Hi Laura!I’ve been making the diet changes, and so far so good. I want to eat the things I’ve been missing without undoing these past two weeks of good. I was hoping to put together a rough meal plan for the next week focusing on low GI foods. I’m really excited to make these changes. I feel like I’ve trying so hard for so long, and with nothing but a 30lb gain to show for it. Your story about the woman on Weight Watchers who was plateaued (even though she was following the plan to a T) was especially relatable. “I do think the vitamins are starting to help. The last couple days I haven’t even missed coffee or any caffeine. Still need to ween off the chocolate, but I’m eating less every day. I’ve also noticed I’m not having any food cravings like I usually do - in fact, I’m really enjoying eating more healthy options - which is amazing! And I’m feeling less like a slug at the end of the workday the way I normally do. I have actually been able to bang out a couple chores on weeknights this week, which is awesome. “The new digestive enzymes you recommended is a miracle! I can’t believe how good it works. I did add chicken back into my diet and it has been going well. I find I am much more satisfied. I tried the kale chips — not bad, but nothing I’d do regularly :-). I also bought a new blender... I tried a veggie drink recipe (it needs lots of work—ha ha ha) My fruit smoothies are very good and work great on tight, busy mornings. I also have a nut pulverize & have been crushing my nuts & seeds, which I am hoping will help get them back into my regular diet without the diverticulitis problems.”
